Yico Zeng

Yico Zeng, (Chinese: 曾轶可 Zēng Yìkě, born on 3 January 1990^[1] in Changde, Hunan province, China) is a Chinese singer. She was a finalist on the Hunan TV talent show Super Girl in 2009.^[2] Later that year, on 18 December 2009, her first album Forever Road was released. It was suggested that a track "Leo" (Chinese: 狮子座) was similar to a song released in 2002 and she was accused of plagiarism. Zeng however denied the charge, saying all of her songs were original.^[3] In 2010 she appeared in the film Love Announcement (Chinese: 恋爱通告).

Early life

Her father was a university teacher and her mother was a doctor. She especially like music and writing when she was a kid. The high school

teacher always used her essay as a model essay in her class. She start writing songs when she was in year 9. During her high school life,

she start learning guitar by herself. Although She really like music, but she haven’t received any professional training in music. After

high school She was about to apply to music college, but her parents felt that’s not realistic and her parents think than she will not be

succeed in music. However, due to her achieved excellent result in English therefor she apply into Jiling Institute of Foreign Language to

study English.^[4]

Performing Arts

2009 was her lucky year, she was a finalist on TV competition “Super Girl” and achieved 9th place in the competition.

She was the only one who performed original song during the whole competition.^[5]

On 18 December 2009, her first album “Forever Road” was released.^[6]

On 16 January 2010 was her first Autograph session.^[7]

On 29 January 2010, She attend “90后潮流先锋榜” Award Ceremony.^[8]

March 2010, She join Lee Hom’s movie “Love in Disguise”,Played in the film as a music school student.^[9]

She also wrote and sang the theme song “Night train”.^[10]

February 2011, attend New York Fashion^[11]

April 2011, wrote the song “Baby sister” Performed by super girl 2009.^[12]

On 10 July 2011. her Second album “A cat’s Travel--Forever 21” was released .^[13]

On 1 MAY 2012 attend strawberry music festival.^[14]

In December 2012, the single “我们不是只有现在吗”was released .^[15]

On February 2013 “步步惊情” Television Drama played as LingDang.^[16]

On 20 MAY 2013. Her third album“The Flying thief”was released.^[17]

On 13 July 2013. “The Flying thief” Album Autograph session.^[18]

On 8 April 2014. She Join the Reality TV show “花样年华2”.^[19]

On 1 December 2014, Her single “Stars&Moon” was released.^[20]

On 25 Jun 2015, Her single “Black Swan” was released.^[21]

On 14 July 2015, Her single “Coward” was released.^[22]

On 20 August 2015, Her single “Can I kiss you” was released.^[23]
