Zhang Feng (Investiture of the Gods)

Zhang Feng (Chinese: 张凤; Pinyin: Zhāng Fèng) is a character featured within the famed classic Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods.

Zhang Feng is known as "Uncle Zhang" due to being the uncle of Huang Feihu. At the time of Huang's escape from the capital and his arrival within the Upon-Highwater Pass, Zhang Feng would be featured for the first time. After Huang had asked for passage, and refused to head back to Zhaoge, Zhang Feng would attack his cousin for his opposition towards the king. Upon Zhang's rather quick defeat, he would attempt to use his One-Hundred-Crucible twin hammers against Huang Feihu; an action that truly resulted in failure. Upon his return to the pass' main camp, Zhang would perform a plan to kill Huang with his subordinate, Akin Silver. However, Akin Silver's loyalty to Huang Feihu outweighed Zhang's, and he would thus allow Huang secret passage during the night. Once Zhang Feng had realized this, he would attack his subordinate but would only be cut down himself.

Zhang Feng was appointed as the deity of Zuangu Star (钻骨星) in the end.[1]
