Zhansugirov (Kazakh: Жансүгіров) is a settlement in Aksu District of Almaty Region of south-eastern Kazakhstan. It is the capital of the district. Population: 8,288 (2009 Census results);[1] 8,830 (1999 Census results).[1]
The town was named after one of the leading names in Kazakh literature, Ilyas Zhansugurov. The town has a sugar processing plant.
