Zhao Yide

Zhao Yide (Chinese: 赵一德; born February 1965) is a Chinese politician. He is the current Communist Party Secretary of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, and the former Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Party Committee.

Zhao was born in Wenling, Zhejiang. He joined the Communist Party in January 1985. He has a bachelor's degree from the Central Party School in economic management, and a graduate degree from the Zhejiang Party School in philosophy.

Zhao served between 2003 and 2006 as the head of the Communist Youth League in Zhejiang province. Then he served as deputy party chief of Wenzhou and head of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Wenzhou (department-prefecture level). In September 2011 he was named party chief of Quzhou. In May 2012, he was named Secretary-general of the Zhejiang Party Committee, and a member of the provincial Party Standing Committee, ascending to sub-provincial ranks at the age of 47, becoming the youngest member of the provincial governing council at the time.[1] In September 2015, he was named party chief of Hangzhou.[2]
