Zizi Papacharissi

Zizi Papacharissi is an academic whose work includes writings on political communication, communication technology, communication theory and research methods.[1] She was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, and has a PhD in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.[2] Papacharissi is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her work focuses on 'the social and political consequences of new media technologies'.[2] She is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media.[3]
