The Zoological Garden station on 34th Street and Girard Avenue once served the Philadelphia Zoo area. As a result of the Pennsylvania Railroad expansion, the station closed in 1902.[1] There are current plans to replace the old station with a new station at 34th Street and Mantua, with a 683 space garage.[2][3]
