Zorayda Ruth Blanco Andam (born c. 1980) is a Filipino lawyer, beauty queen, television host and news anchor. She won the title of Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2001.[1]

Career

Andam hails from Baguio City. She finished her High School studies at Baguio City High School. She was a cum laude graduate of the University of the Philippines School of Economics. She entered the University of the Philippines College of Law, where she obtained her law degree in 2004. She was the recipient of the Dean's Medal for Academic Excellence upon graduation from law school.[1] She took the annual Philippine Bar Exams in September 2004 and was admitted to the Philippine bar in May 2005. She currently practices law in Manila.

She hosted the television show Good Take, which aired on IBC-13. From November 2, 2009, she replaced Thea Gavino as the news anchor of IBC News Tonight until she was replaced by Joee Guilas in 2010.

Binibining Pilipinas 2001

On March 10, 2001 Andam was crowned Miss Universe-Philippines 2001,gaining the right to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2001.

Miss Universe 2001

As the reigning Binibining Pilipinas-Universe, Andam represented the Philippines Miss Universe 2001 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico where she failed to enter the Top 10 and won 2nd place in the Best National Costume Award.
