ZvÃ«rnec (Greek: Î£Î²ÎÏÎ½Î¹Ï„ÏƒÎ± Svernitsa)^[1] is a community in VlorÃ« County. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality VlorÃ«.^[2] It is situated northwest of the city of VlorÃ«.

ZvÃ«rnec, together with nearby NartÃ«, is a Greek-speaking pocket in the area north of VlorÃ«.^[1]^[3] The surrounding region is full of salt marshes. Narta Lagoon, which hosts a unique ecosystem, lies north of the village.^[4]

Near the village lies the island that bears the same name, and a Byzantine monastery dedicated to Virgin Mary.
