Ã…land held legislative elections on 15 October 1995. It elected the diet (Lagtinget), which has 30 members, elected for a four year term by proportional representation.
Following the election the previous government of the Ã…land Centre, Freeminded Co-operation and Ã…land Social Democrats, was replaced by one formed of the Ã…land Centre and Freeminded Co-operation, as well as one independent.[1]
