İzmir Toy Museum (also called “Ümran Baradan Toy Museum”) is a museum of toys in İzmir , Turkey.
Geography
At 38°24′48″N 27°07′37″E / 38.41333°N 27.12694°E the museum is situated near to Varyant street on "Halil Rifat Paşa mah 31 Konak" [1]
History
The museum was established by the world wide known ceramic artist Ümran Baradan. She devoted a two storey house and donated various toys she had purchased in various countries. Later Sunay Akın who has previously founded İstanbul Toy Museum also contributed various articles to the museum.[2]
The museum
The museum is now run by the municipality of Konak ( an intracity district of İzmir.) In the ground floor objects donated by Ümran Baradan are exhibited. The first floor is reserved for Sunay Akın donations.

In addition to classical Turkish toys such as Karagöz and Hacivat, various toys from many countries are displayed. Some examples are:[3]
