Świerklany Dolne [ɕfjɛrˈklanɨ ˈdɔlnɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świerklany, within Rybnik County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Jankowice Rybnickie, 8 km (5 mi) south of Rybnik, and 40 km (25 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice.
The village has a population of 3,300.
The village was first mentioned in a Latin document of Diocese of Wrocław called Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis from around 1305 as item in Swrklant debent esse XXIII) mansi.[2][3]
