116 Squadron of the Israeli Air Force, also known as The Defenders of the South Squadron (former Flying Wing Squadron), is an F-16A/B fighter squadron based at Nevatim Airbase.[1]
In 2015 it was announced that the second F-35 Squadron in the IAF will be the "Defenders of the South".
