The 1943–44 season was the 17th season of competitive football in the British Mandate for Palestine under the Eretz Israel Football Association.

IFA Competitions

1941–42 Palestine League

League matches, which started during the in 1941 were completed during fall 1942 with championship play-off matches. Maccabi Tel Aviv won all of its play-off matches and won the title[1][2]

1943–44 Palestine League

League matches started on 11 September 1943,[3] but were not finished until the summer break and were carried over to the next season.[4]

1943 Palestine Cup

Main article: 1943 Palestine Cup

The cup competition, which started on 9 May 1943, during the previous season, were concluded with the semi-final and final matches at the beginning of the season. A team form the Royal Artillery unit stationed at Haifa won the competition by beating Hapoel Jerusalem 7–1 in the final.[5]

1944 Palestine Cup

The 1944 cup began on 19 February 1944 and was played throughout the spring. However, the final was delayed and postponed by appeals and weather conditions and was finally played on 13 January 1945.[6]
