1947 Vanderbilt Commodores football team
The 1947 Vanderbilt Commodores football team represented Vanderbilt University during the 1947 college football season. The season featured the first top-20 ranking in the school history in 1947, where the team was ranked #10 after opening the season with two wins. The team defended its ranking with a defeat of #18 Mississippi, the first time Vanderbilt played a ranked school while ranked.
