The 1993 Davis Cup was the 82nd edition of the most important tournament between national teams in men's tennis. A total of 100 nations participated in the tournament. In the final, Germany defeated Australia at Exhibition Hall in Düsseldorf, Germany, on 3-5 December.

The Group III tournament was held April 19-25, in Doha, Qatar, on outdoor hard courts.[3] The eight teams played a single round-robin. This tournament marked the Davis Cup debut of the United Arab Emirates.

Group III
The twelve teams in Group III were divided into two pools of six, each of which played a round-robin tournament. The top two teams in each pool were promoted to Group II for 1994. Estonia, Latvia, Slovenia, and Ukraine participated as independent nations for the first time following the breakups of Czechoslovakia and the USSR, while Benin, Djibouti, and San Marino also made their debuts in the tournament.
