The 1998-99 Los Angeles Clippers season was their 29th season in the NBA, their 15th in Los Angeles.[1] This is also the final season where the team plays at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. The Clippers won the Draft Lottery and selected Michael Olowokandi with their first overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. However, the Clippers still struggled as they went on a 0-17 start, finishing the lockout shortened season with a 9-41 record, last place in the Pacific Division. Following the season, Lamond Murray was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Rodney Rogers signed as a free agent with the Phoenix Suns.
