The 9th Young Critics Circle Awards, conferred on 23 February 1999 at the Faculty Center Conference Hall (Pulungang Recto, Bulwagang Rizal), University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, honored the best of Philippine cinema of 1998.[1]
