2011 ICC Awards

2011 LG ICC Awards Logo

The 2011 LG ICC Awards were held on 12 September 2011 in London in England. The awards were presented in association with Federation of International Cricketers' Associations.[1] International Cricket Council has been hosting ICC Awards since 2004 and was then in its eighth year. The previous ones were held in London (2004), Sydney (2005), Mumbai (2006), Johannesburg (2007, 2009), Dubai (2008) and Bengaluru (2010). ICC awards Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy to the Cricketer of the Year which is considered the most prestigious award in world cricket.

ICC World XI Teams

Kumar Sangakkara was selected as the captain of ICC Test Team

Test Team of the Year

Kumar Sangakkara was selected as the captain and wicketkeeper of the World XI Test team. Other players are:[3]

ODI Team of the Year

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was selected as the captain and wicketkeeper of the World XI ODI team for the fourth time consecutively.
