2015 ICC Awards
The 2015 ICC Awards are awards in ten categories by the International Cricket Council to international cricket players.[1] The voting panel took into account players' performance between September 2014 and September 2015.[2]
Awards
- Steve Smith won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy as 2015 cricketer of the year.[3]
- Smith also won the 2015 test cricketer of the year award.[2]
- AB de Villiers won the 2015 ODI player of the year award.[4]
- Meg Lanning won the 2015 Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year award.[2]
- The 2015 ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year award was given to Josh Hazlewood.[5]
- Khurram Khan won the 2015 ICC Associate/Affiliate cricketer of the year award.[6][7]
- Faf du Plessis was awarded the 2015 Twenty20 International "performance of the year" for scoring 119 runs off 56 deliveries in a T20 match against the West Indies,.[1]
- Stafanie Taylor won the award for the Women's Twenty20 International player of 2015.[6][8]
- Richard Kettleborough won the David Shepherd Trophy as 2015 ICC umpire of the year.[6]
- Brendon McCullum was given the 2015 "Spirit of Cricket Award".[6] In the nomination, the ICC noted McCullum's sportsmanship, particularly after the 2015 Cricket World Cup semi-final against South Africa.[9]
