- Zavrč and Krka were promoted to the Slovenian PrvaLiga after the 2012–13 season.
 - Aluminij was relegated from Slovenian PrvaLiga after the 2012–13 season.
 - Mura 05 did not get the competition licence for the 2012–13 season.
 - Ankaran Hrvatini and Veržej were promoted from the Slovenian Third League after the 2012–13 season.
 - Each team played a total of 27 matches.

Promotion play-offs
Radomlje, who finished in second place in the league, should play against Krka, who finished in ninth place in the PrvaLiga. However, Dob rejected the promotion and relegation play-offs were not played, so Krka stayed in the first division and Radomlje were promoted.[1]
