The 2015–16 Ukrainian Second League is the 25th season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competition commenced on 26 July 2015 with a full round of matches. Since 1 November 2015 the competition is currently on winter break and will resume with Round 16 on 26 March 2016.
Team changes
Admitted teams
The following teams were admitted by the PFL after passing attestation.[1]
- FC Myr Hornostayivka – (returning after an absence of one season)
- FC Kolos Kovalivka – (debut)
- FC Arsenal-Kyiv[2] – (debut)
- FC Barsa Sumy – (debut)
- FC Inhulets Petrove – (debut)
- FC Veres Rivne[3] – (returning after an absence of four seasons)
Relegated teams
- Bukovyna Chernivtsi were relegated from the Ukrainian First League from the previous season.
Withdrawn teams
- Shakhtar-3 Donetsk withdrew from the PFL before the start of the 2015–16 season.[4]
Relocated teams
- Real Pharma moved their operations from Ovidiopol to Odesa prior to the start of the season.[5]
Renamed teams
- FC Nikopol-NPHU – Prior to the start of the season FC NPHU-Makiyivvuhillya Nikopol formally withdrew from the PFL and then reentered under their new name.[6]

Notes:
- On 19 June 2015 the Professional Football League of Ukraine confirmed the number of clubs and criteria for relegation for the next season.[10] It was decided that top two clubs would be promoted for the next season with the third playing play-off against the 14th placed team in the First League. In event if FFU Executive Committee will decide to expand the Premier League to 16 teams, all top four teams would be promoted without any playoffs.
