Southland Conference Softball Tournament «2015  2017»

The 2016 Southland Conference tournament will be held at Cowgirl Diamond on the campus of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana from May 11 through May 13, 2016. The tournament winner will earn the Southland Conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. The Championship game will be broadcast on ESPN3 with the remainder of the tournament airing on the Southland Digital Network.^[1]

Format

The top 6 teams will qualify for the Southland Softball Tournament. Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word are currently ineligible due to their transition from D2 to D1. If either of the two teams been in the top 6 spots, the seventh and if necessary eighth teams will qualify for the tournament and will take their respective spots.
