The 2016 Men's State Basketball League season is the 28th running of the competition.
The teams for this season are: Cockburn Cougars, East Perth Eagles, Geraldton Buccaneers, Goldfields Giants, Joondalup Wolves, Kalamunda Eastern Suns, Lakeside Lightning, Mandurah Magic, Perry Lakes Hawks, Perth Redbacks, Rockingham Flames, South West Slammers, Stirling Senators and Willetton Tigers.[1]
For the 2016 season, a number of teams changed venues. The Stirling Senators moved into the newly renovated Warwick Stadium, and the Perth Redbacks returned to the Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre after a trial year at Curtin University in 2015. Also, due to renovations to the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre, the Mandurah Magic will host all of their 2016 games out of Rockingham's home venue at Mike Barnett Sports Complex.[2]
