Jourdan DeMuynck (born September 29, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Perth Redbacks of the State Basketball League (SBL). He played college basketball for Chabot College and Prairie View A&M.
College career
DeMuynck spent three years at Chabot College, before transferring to Prairie View A&M University in 2011.[1] He played Division 1 college basketball for Prairie View in 2011–12 and 2012–13.[2]
Professional career
In August 2013, DeMuynck signed with Keravnos of Cyprus for the 2013–14 season.[3] In 15 games for Keravnos, he averaged 11.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
On August 22, 2014, DeMuynck signed with MZT Skopje of Macedonia for the 2014–15 season.[4] On November 6, 2014, he parted ways with MZT after appearing in two league games and six Adriatic League games.[5] In eight total games, he averaged 7.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.[6]
On October 31, 2015, DeMuynck was selected by the Iowa Energy in the fifth round of the 2015 NBA Development League Draft.[7] However, he was waived by the Energy six days later.[8]
On January 10, 2016, DeMuynck signed with the Perth Redbacks for the 2016 State Basketball League season.[9] He made his debut for the Redbacks in the team's season opening win over the Kalamunda Eastern Suns on March 18, scoring a massive 49 points on 18-of-28 shooting, 4-of-8 from three-point range, and 9-of-12 from the free throw line.[10][11] On April 16, he recorded 38 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals in a 107–103 loss to the Stirling Senators.[12]
