The 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were held on Sunday, August 30, 2009, and were televised live on The CW for the very first time. The nominees were announced on May 14 in the Orpheum Theatre, Los Angeles, California[1][2][3] Vanessa L. Williams hosted the event.[4] The event was directed by Jeff Margolis and Debbie Palacio.[1][2]
