3 Foot Clearance (previously known as Untitled or Happy Holidays from Buckethead) is the thirtieth studio album by guitarist Buckethead, and the third installment of the Buckethead Pikes Series. The album was originally released on December 21, 2010 as a limited edition which came with a handmade holiday greeting card drawn by Buckethead, as well as a discount to buy the regular edition for purchasers of the limited version.
The album features the tribute song Buckethead had done to the late graffiti writer and hip hop artist Rammellzee, who died on June 28, 2010. The track was released on Buckethead's web page a day prior to the album's release and Dickerson announced that it would be included in the album.[1] Buckethead and Rammellzee collaborated on several albums from the supergroup Praxis, most notably on Profanation (Preparation for a Coming Darkness).[2][3] In contrast to earlier releases in 2010, this album is a return to a more traditional writing style for Buckethead, with faster playing throughout, constant shifts in mood and feel, and liberal use of effects.
On August 17, the regular edition was made available through the Buckethead Pikes website along with two other albums Underground Chamber and Look Up There.[4] For the regular edition release, the track listing order changed.
