Adam Hughes (born 14 February 1990) is a Welsh rugby union player. He has represented Wales at Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20 level.

A centre, Hughes made his debut from Newport Gwent Dragons against Cardiff Blues 23 April 2010. In May 2010 he was selected in the Wales Under 20 Squad for the Junior World Cup in Argentina in June 2010 [1]

Adam was voted 'Supporters player of the Year' as voted by the readers of the South Wales Argus, and 'Young player of the Year' in his first season in 2011. He was awarded his cap for 50 starts in his second season with the Dragons in 2012.

He went on to play Wing and Fullback as well as Centre for the Dragons in his three years with the club. He was released by Newport Gwent Dragons at the end of the 2013-14 season and subsequently joined Exeter Chiefs.

Personal

Adam is a qualified Pilot, gaining his PPL in 2010. This was shown on the BBCs Scrum V programme in 2011.
