Rhys Buckley (born 18 June 1989) is a Welsh rugby union player. He played for Caldicot Youth RFC and captained the side before joining the Newport Gwent Dragons regional team having progressed through the Dragons Academy and Under-20 sides. His position is hooker. Buckley was released by Newport Gwent Dragons at the end of the 2011-12 season[1] and subsequently joined Doncaster.[2] For the 2013-14 season he joined Moseley.

In May 2014 Buckley rejoined Newport Gwent Dragons.

Rhys has a devoted fan base, consisting of his old team mates from the Caldicot Under Nineteen touring side and the Rhys Buckley Barmy army follow him devoutly. He has returned to Caldicot to assist in a coaching role, he has helped the side to progress to division 2 East in Wales alongside the clubs current coaching outfit.
