Adam Lamhamedi (born April 22, 1995 in Quebec City, Quebec)[1] is a Moroccan-Canadian alpine skier who has competed since 2010 on the Fis circuit.[2] Lamhamedi was born in Canada,[3] and has qualified to compete for Morocco at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.[3]
Although Lamhamedi was born in Canada, his father is from Morocco which gives him the opportunity to compete for the country.[3] Lamhamedi is the winner of the first ever super-G competition at the Winter Youth Olympics, and became the first athlete from an African country to win a winter related Olympic medal.[4]
