Subdivisions of Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has multiple levels of administrative divisions:
- First-level (13 entities): regions[1] or provinces
- Second-level (118 entities):
- governorates[2] (Arabic: محافظات; muhafazat, sing. muhafazah)
- Amanah the capital of each region
- Third-level: marakiz, sing. markaz
