Agenor Technology are a professional services company and cloud-based software solution provider.

History

Formed in 2006, Agenor have seen rapid growth, opening offices in London, Amsterdam and Dubai, while being recognised by Deloitte and Sunday Times Tech Track as being among the fastest growing technology companies in the UK which have led to Agenor being recognised in national media coverage, such as: The Scotsman [1] and BBC News.[2]

Clients of Agenor's Professional Services and users of ICEFLO (a cloud-based SaaS platform) are supported by a network of offices in Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, London, Amsterdam and Dubai.[3]

Agenor signed the Scottish Business Pledge in early 2015,[4] to work with the Scottish Government and other businesses to build a fairer Scotland.[5]

In late 2015, early 2016 Agenor established a channel program to include partners such as IBM and Oracle,[6] among other niche vendors, which allow Agenor to resell software and cloud solutions.

Funding and Growth

Agenor Technology is set to double its £10 million turnover – and recruit 75 new full-time staff over the next three years. It follows the news that the firm has been awarded £240,000 by Scottish Enterprise in regional selective assistance (RSA) aimed at job creation. The announcement was confirmed during a visit by Roseanna Cunningham MSP, the Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Fair Work, Skills and Training.[7]

Scottish Enterprise invited CEO Andy Smith to talk about what innovation means to his business and how other Scottish companies can embrace it to grow their business.[8] Agenor is also committed to giving back to the communities they operate in. This is demonstrated by the Agenor Academy launch, an initiative which gives permanent opportunities to young people targeting careers in the technology industry.[9] The driving force behind Agenor's decision to support Jerviston's FC cause was simple - their belief in youth development through sport and supporting community charities is one they have in common.[10][11]

GP Bullhound has identified Agenor and 11 other Scottish companies which it believes could go on to emulate Skyscanner and FanDuel to attract a $1 billion valuation in the near future.[12] Polly Purvis, chief executive at trade body ScotlandIS, confirmed this by naming Agenor as 'one to watch' in the fintech sector.[13]
