Ahmed Shah I
Ahmed Shah I was a sultan of Gujarat's ruling of Gujarat from 1411 until his death in 1442. He founded Ahmedabad as a capital of the Gujarat Sultanate in 1412 and also founded Ahmadnagar (now Himatnagar) in 1426.[1] Ahmedabad is named after him.[2] He was buried at Ahmed Shah's Tomb near Manek Chowk, Ahmedabad.
