Aidan Smith (born 11 May 1997) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a striker for Queen of the South.

Career

Born in Dumfries, Smith began his career at hometown club Queen of the South. He was first named in a match-day squad on 24 August 2013, remaining an unused substitute in the team's 2–0 defeat at Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Championship;[1] he was named for six more games that season, but did not play in a single one.

On 6 March 2015, Smith made his debut in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup, replacing Gavin Reilly for the final 11 minutes of a 0–1 home defeat to Falkirk.[2] Four days later he made his league debut away to Rangers; again replacing Reilly in the 83rd minute, three minutes later the 17-year-old scored his first career league goal, exploiting a mistake by goalkeeper Lee Robinson to earn a 1–1 draw.[3]
