Ajjada is a village in Balijipeta mandal, Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh, India.[1] It has a population of 2,700 with male:female ratio of 1:1 and 40% literacy rate.
Eminent people
It is the birthplace of Telugu Harikatha Pithamahaa Ajjada Adibhatla Narayana Dasu, educationists like Sri Adibhatla Satyanarayana Murthy (Elementary School HM), Sri Adibhatla Visweswara Rao. Shri Rama Rao Ayyalasomayajula and Sri Adibhatla Narasimha Murthy (Best Teacher award winner) were worked as Head Master of the Zilla Parishad High School, Ajjada. They have spent their whole life not only in educating/nourishing the students but also educated the local populace. The village is on the banks of the river Suvarnamukhi, that flows from the hills of Makkuva. The route to reach this village is via a now concrete road along the bank of this river, off of National Highway 5. The villages of Krishnarayapuram (referred to in Kanyashulkam), Muragadam, Charakarapalli are also in proximity to this village.
Sri Adibhatla Satyanarayana Murthy is known as well devotee of Lord Sri Satya Sai Baba and he built an Satya Sai Ashram in the year of 2001 (26-07-2001) aside of the river Suvarnamukhi. He had conducted charitable events like Medical Camps and Eye checkup camps and Veterinary Camps every year in Ajjada on behalf of Lord Satya Sai. He was born on 2 June 1947 died on 1 August 2003. After his death his wife Jayalakshmi was conducting the charitable events in Ajjada every year without fail.
