Hawija District (Arabic: قضاء الحويجة, translit. qaḍāʾ al-Ḥawīǧa) is a district in southern Kirkuk Governorate, northern Iraq. Administrative center is the city of Hawija.
Hawija district has approximately 450,000 inhabitants, a vast majority of them Sunni Arabs, with the rest being Shia Turkomans and Kaka'i Kurds Most of the inhabitants live in rural areas.
