Al Shamal (Arabic: السمال) is the capital city of the municipality of Madinat ash Shamal in Qatar.[1] It was delimited in 1988 and shares its boundaries with Ar Ru'ays to the east and Abu Dhalouf to the west.[2]
Education
The city's first public library was opened in 1979.[3]
