Albania – Georgia relations are the international relations between Albania and Georgia. Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Albania were established on 8 July 1993.[1] Both countries have a non resident ambassador based in Ankara, Turkey.
Kosovo, Abkhazia and South Ossetia issues
Although many of Georgians favor for recognition of Kosovo since its independence from Serbia, however, the Russo-Georgian war had prevented Georgia from recognizing Kosovo, due to Georgia's fears of the same fate about Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Albania, in addition, haven't recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and calling for Georgia's territorial rights.
