Albania selected their entry for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest on December 16, 2007 in the Festivali I Këngës competition. The winner was Olta Boka with the song "Zemrën e lamë peng" (Hearts Trapped In Time), she represented Albania in Belgrade on May 22 where she participated in the second semi-final and won a place in the final.
