RTCG chose the Montenegrin entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with help from public votes.

During a special show that aired on RTCG, called MontenegroSong 2008, with a new National Final model, six candidates were presented, out of which Stefan Filipović was selected via televoting as the entrant.

The song which he performed was chosen internally by a 30-member jury appointed by RTCG. The song, "Zauvijek volim te" ("I Love You For Eternity"), was made by a team of Macedonian musicians: Grigor Koprov, Ognen Nedelkovski and Vladimir Dojčinovski, the same trio that composed the Macedonian entry in 2007 "Mojot svet". An English version of the song was also recorded, under the title "Never Forget That I Love You".

It went on to represent Montenegro at the first semi-final of Eurovision Song Contest 2008 on 20 May 2008, in Belgrade. However the entry failed to achieve enough votes in order to qualify for the final of the contest, finishing 14th.
