The Alden Batchelder House is a historic house at 797 Main Street in Reading, Massachusetts. Built in the early 1850s, the 2.5 story wood frame house is an excellent example of an early Italianate design. Its front facade has a central gable, a two story projecting bay on the right side, and a porch that wraps around the side of the house. The first floor windows are elongated, with deep moldings. The house was built by Alden Batchelder, a noted local cabinetmaker.[2]
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.[1]
