The House at 26 Center Avenue in Reading, Massachusetts is an architecturally eclectic cottage. Built c. 1854-1875, the 1.5 story wood frame house has a door surround with Greek Revival pilasters and entablature, but its gable end has no returns, and is instead decorated with bargeboard, a Gothic Revival feature. The first floor front windows are long, and topped by corniced lintels with heavy brackets, an Italianate style.[2]
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.[1]
