The Iraqi football champions are the winners of the primary football competition in Iraq, Al-Nukhba. The league is contested on a round robin basis and the championship awarded to the team that is top of the league at the end of the season. Al-Nukhba, first established in 1974. The most successful team is Al-Zawra'a SC with 12 titles, followed by Al-Shorta, Al-Talaba and Al-Jawiya who all have 5 titles.
