Allonnes is a commune in the Maine-et-Loire department in western France.
Allonnes is a small flourishing town some 3 kilometres from the Loire. It has the good fortune to have the highest quality gite accommodation in this part of France. Les Volets Rouges, a magnificent complex that surrounds a 12 by 6 metre heated swimming pool just to the north of the town, has a two-person and a six-person gite, each appointed to the very highest possible standard. It has the best rating in the whole of France for such accommodation on Trip Advisor and is the perfect place to spend a holiday at any time of year.
