Andrés Pelussi (born October 14, 1977 in Suardi, Argentina) is an Argentine professional basketball player, and a member of the Argentine national basketball team. He is a small forward.
Professional career
Pelussi has played the last three seasons (2006–07, 2007–08 and 2008–09) with Libertad de Sunchales of the Argentine Liga Nacional de Básquetbol, where he helped the team win the 2007-08 Argentine championship.[1] Pelussi has spent his entire professional career in Argentina, aside from one year (2005–06) with Italian side Virtus Bologna.
Argentine national team
Pelussi is also a long-time member of the Argentine national basketball team. He first participated with the national team at the 2004 South American Championship.[2] He saw his most extensive action with the team at the 2008 South American Championship, where he averaged 12.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the team. Most recently, he competed with the bronze-medal winning Argentines at the FIBA Americas Championship 2009, where he played primarily off the bench, averaging 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
