Beecroft's flying squirrel or Beecroft's scaly-tailed squirrel (Anomalurus beecrofti) is a species of rodent in the family Anomaluridae.[2] Some authorities (Hutterer & Grubb, 2004) consider it to be monotypic within the genus Anomalurops. It is found in Angola, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, Uganda, and Zambia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and plantations . It is threatened by habitat loss.
