Archita Sahu (Odia: ଅର୍ଚିତା ସାହୁ) (born 29 June 1990) is an Indian actress and model. She is famous for her career as an actor in various Ollywood movies. She played the lead female role in several hit Oriya movies like Babu I Love You, Mu Eka Tumara, Chocolate and Akashe Ki Ranga Lagila. Besides movies, she has recently achieved great success as a model. She was the 1st runner up in Pond's Femina Miss India Kolkata 2013 and won Lakme Absolute Femina Miss Eyeconic eyes.[1] She also won Miss Talented and Miss Stylish Hair titles in the finale.

Biography

Archita was born in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She completed her schooling from D.M School and B.Tech graduation from KIIT University. She is also an Odissi dancer who has won National Scholarship in Odissi dance.[2] In 2004, she was crowned Miss Kalinga.[3] Her first Oriya film was O My Love in 2005.[4] To her credit she has many superhits and 100 day blockbusters.[5] She is now adjudged as the top actress in Oriya film industry. Archita has a huge fan following in Odisha. Besides acting, she is involved in modelling and social work.. She has received the Best Newcomer and Best Actress awards for her celluloid performances Her pairing with Sabyasachi has been quite successful. She is the only actress in Oriya film industry to bag State Award as best actress three times, awarded by Govt of Odisha.[6][7][8][9] She is presently the Odisha State Ambassador of UNICEF and Govt. of Odisha for "Eradication of child labour".[10][11] She is also the ambassador of Junior Red Cross.[12] She was the only Oriya actress to be a part of IPL 5 as the brand ambassador of Deccan Chargers.[13][14][15] She is the 1st runner-up of the Femina Miss India, Kolkata.[16] She represented Odisha in Miss India 2013 pageant. She has won Miss Talented and Miss Stylish Hair titles in the finale.
