Army Institute of Business Administration (Bengali: আর্মি ব্যবসায় প্রশাসন ইনস্টিটিউট) commonly known as AIBA or Army IBA is a business school in Savar Cantonment, Savar. AIBA is run by the Bangladesh Army and is under the Ministry of Defense of Bangladesh. AIBA was inaugurated by the Education Minister of Bangladesh on 5 March 2015. The institution is affiliated with Bangladesh University of Professionals, a university governed by the Armed Forces of Bangladesh.[1]
The institution initially offered one BBA; 40 students enrolled in the first semester. Currently the institution enrolls 50 students in each semester on merit basis and intakes twice in a year.[2] AIBA confers BBA, MBA and EMBA degrees.
Administration
Governing body
AIBA is governed by the Bangladesh Army and is subject to the regulations set out by the Bangladesh University of Professionals. The school is chaired by the Area Comd, Savar and governed by a 10-member Board of Governors. Director is responsible for overall management of the institution. The present director of AIBA is Brigadier General A.K.M. Showkat Hasan [3]
Board of Trustees
A nine-member board, including the Chief of Army Staff (General) and Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals, supervise the affairs of the institute.[4]
Academic Council
The Academic Council reviews AIBA's academic programs. All Instructors and Associate Professors of AIBA are members of the Board and the Director of AIBA is the Chairperson of the board.

Admission Procedure
Students must pass through a selection procedure. Only students meeting the minimum required grade point average (GPA) in HSC and SSC may take the admission exam. This record accounts for the 25% of the total admission test score. Then students must write a 100-mark test which accounts for 50% of the total admission test score. Students selected from the written test must then pass a communication skill test which contains 25% of the total admission test score. Finally, 50 students are selected from candidates who have achieved the best score in all three stages.
