Asanpur is a village development committee in Siraha District in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 7206 people living in 1336 individual households.[1]
The main bazar is Golbazar, which contains the entire economic, medical and other facilities available for the VDC. It lies on the side of Mahendra Highway. Well it is one of the business point of the District. The market at golbazar has huge mass in buying and selling point of view. Most of the branches of banks even lies here. There are huge number of establishment of Sahakari Sansthan. Some of the famous temples are Dhaminthan, Shiva Mandir, Durga Mandir.
