Avatar: The Last Airbender – North and South[1] is the fifth graphic novel trilogy created as a continuation of Avatar: The Last Airbender television series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. It follows the events of Smoke and Shadow. As a close sequel to the original Avatar series, it depicts events that occur before the sequel series The Legend of Korra.
