BC Valga, also known as BC Valga-Valka/Maks & Moorits by sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Valga, Estonia. The team plays in the Estonian League and the Latvian League. Their home arena is the Valga Sports Hall.

History

The club entered its first competition in 2005, playing in the third tier II Liiga. In 2006, Valga joined the top tier Estonian Basketball Championship, the Korvpalli Meistriliiga. Valga finished their first-ever regular season in the KML in 8th place and reaching the playoffs, where the team was eliminated in the quarter-finals by eventual champions Tartu Ülikool/Rock. In 2008, Valga competed in the regional Baltic Basketball League for the first time. In 2015, Valga joined the top tier Latvian Basketball Championship, the Latvijas Basketbola līga, becoming the first club to simultaneously compete in both, the Estonian and the Latvian league.[1]
